Meet Christine Winebrenner Irick, the Founder of travel company, Lotus Sojourns and the Host of Soul of Travel Podcast.
Christine has worked in the tourism industry for 20 years, concentrating on community-based tourism and sustainable tourism development. She brings these passions into the transformational journeys she creates and guides for Lotus Sojourns, her women’s transformational travel company founded in 2019. She is a natural connector and is dedicated to creating space for women to authentically connect around the world. She also wants each woman to connect to their purpose and know themselves and valuable and equal members of this global community.
In the spring of 2020 Christine launched her Soul of Travel interview series to celebrate the impactful work of her colleagues as they navigated the challenges and loss associated with the shut-down of tourism during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her latest season specifically focuses on the Voices of Women in this field, discussing the ways they have pursued their dreams, empowered others, and continue to work to create change around the world.
She has enjoyed her own yoga practice for the last 25 years and loves how cultural experiences she had while travelling have deepened this connection to her practice. Christine recently received her 200 hour certification in yoga teacher training from the Yoga Hive in the Himalayan Sattva Yoga tradition. She is excited to bring this deeper understanding of the philosophy of yoga to her students, on and off the mat. She is particularly inspired by the power of breath work and Kriya blended with slow, intentional asana practice and how this can deepen connection to others, to self, to nature, and to spirit. When you join her classes you can expect connection to feminine energy and a little bit of Magic.
