ITINERARY
Day 1
ARRIVAL IN INDIA
Welcome to India! When you arrive at New Delhi, you will be escorted towards the city of love - Agra. The estimated 3-3.5 hour drive through the capital region and countryside, will soon find us in the magical city of Agra. Agra, a city located on the banks of the river Yamuna, is known as being the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - Taj Mahal!

This evening is at leisure and with the overnight stay at Agra.
Day 2
EXPERIENCING THE WORLD WONDER! EVENING TRAIN TO BHOPAL (TRAIN AT 16:20 / 22:16 HRS)
This morning, we will visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. Considered one of the greatest monument of love and one of the seven wonders of the modern world, Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Through this bucket list experience, one witnesses not only the architectural marvel of the Taj, but also the history and an insight of the lifestyle during the Mughal era and empire within India.

Following the visit, we will return to hotel for breakfast and some time at leisure.

We then proceed to visit the Agra Fort, originally planned as an impregnable military structure by Akbar. The Agra Fort, over a period of time, acquired all the elegance, lavishness and majesty of an imperial palace. This will be followed by the visit of Itimad-ud-Daulah is the first monument in India built entirely with marble. The tomb was built between 1622 and 1628 by the Queen of Jahangir, Nur Jahan as a memorial to her father, Mirza Ghiyas.

Following the visit of these heritage highlights, we then proceed this evening to board our train to Bhopal. Bhopal City, popularly known as the "City of Lakes" is the capital of Madhya Pradesh, which is situated at the heart (central part) of India. The city is divided into two areas, 'Old Bhopal' and 'New Bhopal'. The solace and serenity the guests will find here amidst delightfully beautiful backdrops will undoubtedly charm.

This evening is at leisure with the overnight stay in Bhopal.
Day 3
VISITING THE HERITAGE SITES OF CENTRAL INDIA
Today one will explore the architectural marvels of Sanchi & Udayagiri Caves. Interestingly, enroute we will pass the Tropic of Cancer, a unique marvel feature in this part of India!

Udayagiri Caves hosts iconic sculptural reliefs and depiction of a lifestyle within this region of India. The tour through these ancient Udayagiri caves will be accompanied by the gurgling river Betwa carrying memories of human histories.

Continuing on our journey, we will then proceed to visit Sanchi to view the World Heritage Site of Sanchi Stupa.

Following the visit to Sanchi, the guests will be escorted back to Bhopal. This evening will be at leisure and a local Bhopali cuisine is recommended at selected venues within the city.
Day 4
EXPLORING BHOPAL
We continue our exploration of the historical highlights of central India. Today we will visit the World Heritage Site - Bhimbetka Caves. With its hundreds of rock shelters, the Bhimbetka Caves are an archaeological treasure, dating back to approximately 30,000 years. It is said that these were once homes to human civilization. The rock art and natural canvas of these caves, make it a true wonder and transport one back in time.

As we proceed back towards Bhopal, this afternoon the guests will visit the famous and inventive Tribal Museum to glimpse the fascinating world of the first citizens of India. Here, motifs & artifacts are exhibited in a way enabling the guests to connect with the lifestyles of different tribal communities of India.

Later in the evening, the guests are escorted for a boat ride on the magnificent Bhopal Lake. Through this relaxing cruise one witnesses the city life and the evening sunset, provide a magical overview! This evening guests may also consider a guided culinary walk through the local markets and streets of Bhopal, adding to another flavour of the city!
Day 5
DRIVE BHOPAL – JABALPUR, ENROUTE BHEDAGHAT
We will proceed today to visit Jabalpur, as we drive for a few hours through the countryside.

Enroute one may visit the Bhedaghat in Narmada river, famous for its striking marble rocks which are 100 feet high and located on either sides of the river Narmada. View the historic highlights and enjoy a boat ride on the calm river, as one see’s the stunning views of the Dhuandhar Falls.

As we arrive in Jabalpur, the evening is at leisure.

"Jabalpur" is said to have been named after the sage Jabali, who is thought to have meditated on the banks of the Narmada. In Arabic, Jabal refers to a rocky landscape.
Day 6
INTO THE WILD!
This morning the guests are escorted to visit the Madan Mahal Fort. On top of a hill, Madan Mahal or Rani Durgavati Fort served as one of the military strongholds till the 11th century. This fort has a significant architecture. It is associated with Gondwana dynasty of central India who ruled over this region for many centuries.

After the visit, check-out from the hotel & drive to Bandhavgarh.

Bandhavgarh was established in 1968 as a National Park and is spread over an area of 448 sq. kms. This national park was declared as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in the year 1993. It is predominantly covered with vegetation like Sal, Sali, Dhobin and has vast stretches of grasslands spread over 32 hills, the region though smaller than other wildlife parks has one of the highest densities of tigers in the world. Overnight stay at a resort and lodge in Bandhavgarh.
Day 7
SAFARI EXPERIENCE IN INDIA
Early morning you are escorted for their first Jeep Safari to Bandhavgarh National park with our English speaking Naturalist.

The rest of the day free to enjoy the inhouse activities offer by the hotel

This evening, if one wishes to experience more of the national park, an evening safari may be recommended! The evening safaris are usually between 15:00 - 18:30 based on the parks operating timings. Upon your return, you may enjoy a bush dinner or relaxed evening at the lodge.
Day 8
PLAN FOR OUR RETURN VIA DELHI
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & drive to Jabalpur airport, an estimated 4-hour drive to board flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi airport, you may either spend the day exploring the city or continue your onwards journey.
