overview

Are you ready to embark on a life-changing journey that guides you to your true self? Imagine a retreat where you can explore your deepest needs, desires, fears, and obstacles while walking through the serene landscapes of the Camino. This is not just any experience—an exclusive, immersive adventure designed to help you uncover your true purpose and realize your hidden potential.

Amid life’s hustle and bustle, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are beneath it all. This journey offers you a rare and precious opportunity to step away from the daily grind and fully immerse yourself in self-discovery. It’s a path crafted for those who seek to understand why they exist, set meaningful goals, and eliminate the barriers that stand in the way of achieving them.

At the heart of this program is the unique Walking Mentorship methodology. Your transformative journey begins with a pre-walk orientation session, setting the stage for what lies ahead. You’ll have one-on-one mentoring sessions with João Perre-Viana as you progress, offering personalised guidance and support. These sessions are designed to help you explore your inner world, clarify your goals, and develop a practical plan to bring them to life.

As you walk through the beautiful landscapes of the Camino, you’ll have time for deep reflection and meaningful conversations with fellow participants. This balance of solitude and connection creates an extraordinary environment for introspection and growth. Following the walk, individual feedback sessions ensure you’re aware of your progress and equipped to continue your journey of self-discovery.

Your journey includes seven nights in thoughtfully selected accommodations, ranging from charming homes to centuries-old monasteries and private albergues, offering the full Camino experience. Each place is chosen to enhance your retreat with comfort and peace. You’ll also enjoy all-inclusive meals, celebrating the local culinary culture and nourishing your body and soul.

This is more than just a retreat; it’s a transformative expedition that will forever change how you see yourself and your place in the world. Under the guidance of João Perre-Viana and alongside like-minded participants, you’ll craft a robust action plan to achieve your goals, transcending any obstacles in your path.

Your journey of self-discovery and transformation awaits—are you ready to take the first step?

ITINERARY
Early arrival dinner
The group gathers inside the walls of Santiago for a welcome dinner of traditional Spanish food. This will be the opportunity to give each participant all the materials for our journey, reinforce the logistics, gear, etc., and get ready to start early morning the next day. ATTENTION - The accommodation of the night before the program starts is the participant's responsibility. We will depart on our journey early on the 5th, so be sure to arrive on the 4th. We leave below a few options to facilitate the booking process:

Option 01 - The Hotel Rosa Rosae is just 5m from the train station, where we will start the next day early in the morning, which is very convenient.

Option 02 - The Hotel Virxe da Cerca is a little bit further away but also very nice and convenient.
Day 1
Group gathering in Santiago de Compostela - Train to Ourense - Start of our walk
On your first day, we will gather the group in Santiago de Compostela train station and will take a train to Ourense where we will start our walk towards Oseira Monastery. You will take the time to reflect on the different aspects of your current situation. The exercise will take a 360-degree "polaroid" of your life and create a picture of where you now stand.

Lodging: Oseira Monastery - Single Room
Day 2
Oseira - Exercise Connecting the dots
The second exercise is an invitation to disconnect totally and use the opportunity to dig deeper into yourself and look back in your life. What you learn from your history will help you craft your future.

Lodging: Oseira Monastery (Hospedaria) - Single room
Day 3
Oseira to Estacion Lalín - Exercise Personal Inventory
We start today with a beautiful path between the Mediterranean maquis - a mix of trees and shrubs that don't grow much above our heads, perfect to look inside our own strengths and weaknesses. The smells can be amazing and it helps you to look inside. After a while, we reach the valley with agricultural fields and pastures and the perfect setting to look outside and to the future. The Personal Inventory exercise will help you through your own personal SWAT analysis. Lunch meets us en route with the most authentic bocadillos. We stay in a simple and most welcoming Hostal, but the real treat is our host's restaurant where we'll eat real local food, literally from the garden to the table with delicious Spanish beer.

Lodging: Lalin Estacion (Hostal) - single room
Day 4
Estacion Lalín to Bendoiro - Exercise My ideal future
Today you will experience a visioning exercise. You will identify and describe how you idealise your life at a specific point in the future. We have a light walk through quaint villages and beautiful countryside, and sometimes the crows accompany us for a while. Bendoiro is an old Pazo, a little piece of heaven - and just the place to envision your ideal future. Here you will feel pampered - the food is an amazing cross between contemporary and classic Galician, always supported on the best local ingredients, with amazing local wines by small producers. You'll have beautiful gardens, century-old rooms with fireplaces and countless corners for you to work on your exercise.

Lodging: Pazo de Bendoiro (Rural Tourism Category A) - Twin room
Day 5
Bendoiro to Bandeira - Exercise Purpose and outcomes
Now that you have imagined your future, you will build a bridge from your vision back to the present. This will provide you with the momentum for the decisions you must make and also the opportunity to align it with your purpose. The landscape keeps changing, but somehow the walking becomes more natural. Another beautiful country manor awaits us and in Bandeira, we will have another real food experience, just like a local.

Lodging: Casa Cacheiro (Rural Tourism Category A) - Twin room
Day 6
Bandeira to Boqueixón - Exercise Take Responsibility
After selecting the outcomes you are committing to in the previous exercise you are ready to detail your Action Plan. This is the final kilometre of the program and also the beginning of a new stage in your life. To have a real feel of a pilgrimage, this night we sleep in a private Albergue - so you graduate as a true walker of the Camiño. We are welcomed by the owner who will also be our cook, so you should be ready for a traditional and abundant meal, just like the locals.

Lodging: Reina Lupa (Hospedaria) - Bunk Beds/ Mixed Dormitory
Day 7
Boqueixón to Santiago de Compostela - Exercise 1,00KM
The final exercise takes place with your Action Plan already in motion. Fine-tuning and feedback loops become your new norm. Arriving in Santiago is always a riveting experience. The throbbing energy of the arriving pilgrims mixes with the fiesta of the university students and the party seems to be ongoing. Immense joy, a feeling of overcoming and satisfaction mixes with all the stimulus of countless languages, street artists and restaurants. Reaching the Obradoiro, the large plaza below the Cathedral we reach the end of our way. But our program is at its apex. We stay in a magical place just by the Obradoiro and this night the dinner is a private group event - cooked by the group, for the group - with special toasts to the new old friends you will have made along the Camiño.

Lodging: Inferniño (Twin Room)
Day 8
Depart Santiago de Compostela
You are free to book your departure anytime. Safe travels!

Move forward and develop our personal and professional lives

Joaos passion to transmit to us the need to always move forward and develop our personal and professional lives has been very enjoyable and rich to me. I certainly recommend everyone to have the first talk with João and discover his WALKING MENTORSHIP program.

The best way to slow down, not to burn out.

Great paradigm shift experience! For me Joao's program was the best way to slow down, not to burn out, recognize and accept my nature, experience digital detox, synchronize my mind and my heart. It was a perfect approach to look at my life and myself from another perspective! I wish you all dare to show up and join Walking Mentorship!
